Scientology Volunteer Ministers Bring Their Yellow Tent to Bologna
The Scientology Volunteer Ministers yellow tent in Bologna is presenting practical tools for helping people in everyday life, remaining in Piazza Lucio Dalla until 8 September.
Approximately 100 guests were present for the opening, including local officials and community representatives.
Among them was Pianoro Bologna Mayor Luca Vecchiettini, who remembered the practical help received by his community following the 2024 floods. Restaurateur Fabrizio Lazzarini also spoke emotionally about the assistance received when his restaurant was affected by mud and water.
Andrea Ferrarini, formerly involved with civil protection in Bondeno, also remembered assistance provided after the 2012 earthquakes.
The Volunteer Ministers programme was established in 1976 by L. Ron Hubbard, founder of Scientology, the programme offers practical tools for communication, relationships and problem-solving alongside humanitarian response.
Inside the Bologna tent, visitors can view photographs and videos documenting Volunteer Ministers activities while learning about practical approaches to interpersonal difficulties and daily problems.
Ivan Arjona, representative of the Church of Scientology to the EU, OSCE, Council of Europe and UN, described the Bologna initiative as an expression of European values of solidarity, human dignity and community responsibility.
The yellow tent shows how the Volunteer Ministers programme combines emergency response with practical help for daily challenges.
